I have been experimenting with a lot of different social media sites during the last few weeks and have learned so much in my journeys. I now have a general idea how to maintain and operate all of the top social media sites of today. I'd like to take this time to bestow my knowledge upon you.
Blogger was the site that I used to complete weekly postings that were on various topics. I had a good time writing up the posts and really enjoyed how easy Blogger allows you to create a new post and publish it. I tried to keep all my posts similar in how I presented the business and myself to the readers. If FFF Camps were real I believe I would keep using Blogger because it doesn't take that long to type up a post and its a great way to get in-depth information out to readers.
Twitter was a nice platform for me to send out small updates, quick tips, cancellations, or little nuggets of information to my followers. I posted during lunch or in the evening a lot because its at a time when I feel most people check social media. I also enjoyed re-tweeting information from the NFL because most of the campers enjoy the NFL. I would continue to use this site to give quick and short updates because it was handy and many people use Twitter, however I wouldn't post 3 times a day as it was too much for my business.

The very popular Facebook was one of my favorite social media sites to use, it really allows you to use your creativity to try to engage and entertain of your business. I posted on Saturdays and Sundays mostly because my Buddy Media Report stated "it's no surprise that Saturdays and Sundays see the highest interaction rates." Not only was that information helpful but I also knew that my campers are out of school on Saturdays and Sundays so the weekend was a good time to get their attention as well. I would continue to use Facebook because what business that is relevant doesn't have a Facebook???

HootSuite was a life-saver. I used this site to orchestrate all of my posts and tweets for the week in one sitting. It took the pressure of always remembering to interact with your followers off. I enjoyed how easy it was to use and how all of the social media sites were on one page in front of me. I couldn't imagine being a head marketer and not using HootSuite because it makes it so much easier to reach your audience on a daily basis.
I used Pinterest to provide my campers with different drills, role models, snacks, and safety tips. I thought it was an excellent way to collect a bunch of different ideas and put them in one place. I wouldn't continue to use this because I don't think it would be very popular with the young men in my football camp.If I ran Felce's Flower Picking Club then I would continue to use this site as it was easy to use and fun.

The Sports Network.com would be an effective niche network for me to advertise on because any children who enjoy football may be on this site as well as parents who enjoy football and may want to involve their child in a football camp like mine. I would use it to reach out to potential clients and inform them of the perks of my football camp.
I used a 2 minute podcast to get information on my new business out, it was a little nerve racking having to record my own voice for this and it took me several takes to get one that worked for me. It is because of this that I wouldn't do it in the future for my business, however I think its an effective way to get on a more personal level with your audience and let your true personality out rather than having an audience read bland words on a screen.
I didn't complete a vine or video but I would have tried to use comedy to reach my audience. I am a huge fan of making videos and I like to act so I would definitely use Vines and Videos in the future. Another reason I would continue to use them is because Vine is very popular with the younger generation and who doesn't enjoy a good laugh.
Felce's Fantasy Football Camps would utilize Blogger, Twitter, Facebook, HootSuite, and Vines. I feel the combination of these sites would allow me to reach everyone I needed to reach for a football camp business and stay relevant. I use Facebook for my entertaining and engaging posts while I try to keep informative posts on Twitter/Blogger depending on how much information I have to share. I feel like posts that are too wordy on Facebook quickly get scrolled over in the ever shortening attention span of the human race. The sites that I believe my target audience are on are the ones that I chose to keep. The insight into social media that I gained from this class will continue to help me in the future as more and more people are going online and it is becoming one of the best places to market products/businesses.

The Power of Social Media
This week I'd like to talk about how social media has helped us here at FFF Camps. Keeping track of how your audience is interacting with your social media pages is crucial when evaluating which posts are working and which are not. Measuring responses from your audience can help you learn what they want to see posted on your sites.
FFF Camps has its own Facebook page, however we only have 2 likes at this time and would really like to expand our reach to get closer with the community. Our most popular post was a caption contest that was seen by 10 people, I believe that people really enjoy using creativity and being engaged. I think that having a fun and engaging Facebook page is important when trying to market to potential customers and according to the website www.socialmediatoday.com , 42% of marketers agree.
Our Twitter page has had a little more success, gathering 11 followers over the past couple weeks. FFF Camps also utilized Twitter by following 22 other businesses, people, and organizations that are in a similar industry as us to gain knowledge and useful tips. The most beneficial use of Twitter for FFF Camps was keeping parents and campers informed of different changes going on around our facility. Twitter is quite popular and is a great place to connect with customers and clients, http://www.socialmediaexaminer.com noted that 20% of Americans that use the internet also use Twitter.
For those of you looking to measure your social media sites, I suggest using www.cyfe.com. Cyfe is free to use and very easy to navigate. Within a matter of minutes I had created an account, attached FFF Camps' Facebook and Twitter pages and was flooded with different information on the two. Cyfe allows you to see your followers, how many likes each post has gotten, how many retweets certain tweets got, and it also saves all your data in its system for months. Here is a photo of the Cyfe interface.
